with curtain walling, lounge with bay window overlooking the golf course and a new master bedroom suite. Due to the poor ground conditions the existing foundations had to be underpinned and new piling works carried out for the extension. In addition the incoming services had to be upgraded along with the surface and foul water drainage and external works.
The 26 week project included several structural alterations and slappings to the existing shell of the house as well as a complete elctrical re-wire and replacement of the central heating system, installation of new sanitary ware to the bathrooms, both internal finishing which included new oak doorsets throughout, oak flooring to the ground floor and a wood burning stove set within a marble fireplace and external finishes comprising re-tiling the roof, complete re-roughcast to the external walls and installation of the feature precast mullions and lintols. Panoramic views of Cruden Bay Golf Course are enjoyed from the ground and first floor balconies with both the North Sea and Slains Castle visible on the horizon. |
